Location of x7 oil filter please

Hi guys, been looking at the engine bay on my 140bhp 2.0 diesel n can't see where the oil filter is?
2002 Citroen C5 2.2Hdi exclusive estate (sadly gone) :(
2009 Citroën C5 X7 2.0 hdi (136bhp) exclusive estate (Oh wow what an upgrade) 8-)

Front of the engine, circled in blue :

Undo it but not all the way, pause for a few seconds. There's a cut out in the threaded part of the filter housing which breaks the 'vacuum' seal and allows oil to drain down and out of the filter housing and back down to the sump. If you spin the housing straight off without pausing then you get oil all down the front of your engine #-o

1109CK is the genuine part number for the filter. Although it's the same physical size as other filters used in previous incarnations of the engine, 1109CK has more filter material in it to allow for longer service intervals. If you compare a genuine 1109CK with other, similar, filters you'll see that the genuine one's filter material is concertinaed. If you aren't planning on utilising the longer service interval, then you pays your money and takes your choice :-D
