Whats the diff between Hydractive and non Hydractive suspension, and how do i tell which one the car has.
M plate Xantia 1.9 TD (sorry cant give model type yet).

Thanks in advance for anyone who will put up with my painfulness and ignorance regarding Xantia.... mind you i can tel you allsorts about the Austin Maestro, Renault Laguna and Bond Mini (like dont buy any of em).

Marty,
Hydractive is computer controlled suspension that can switch between 'hard' and 'soft' mode by isolating or including a third sphere on each axle. Available on VSX Xantias - easiest way to tell is to look for the switch next to the handbrake with a wheel and spring on it. In sport position, the point at which it switches to hard mode is made earlier (based on body roll, steering input etc etc).
