I seem to be only getting 6/6.8volt feed to my pump and it is not running.
have checked the pump with a 12 volt feed, it runs
Have probed the wires (before and after a splice), it still outputs 6/6.8volts
Have switched the relays in the ECU box, it still outputs 6/6.8volts in the wires/plug
Not sure which wires are which at the relay or where they run down the car.

Alasdair, Circuit diagrams and harness diagrams for an RHD MK1

http://www.eastment.net/XanWD/ES9J4mk1injloc.JPG
I hope they are more or less applicable to the LHD one...
The harness diagram should help you nail down where the volts are being lost.

Have you got a good 12V to the relay when it's closed?
I had issues with voltage sag like this once and it turned out to be a duff fuse (dodgy plating meant it had oxidised badly).

Not a clue atm, I do not know what wires feed the relay or what wires go from the relay to the pump. The trouble is I am totally rubbish at electrics, quite a dumb ass in reality.

An easy place to start might be the inertia switch, which seems to be connected between the relay and the fuse.

Re: V6 Xantia (Activa) fuel pump, voltage feed problem.
All fixed, a fault at the fuse box/relay feed, changed the fuse box "module" (with all the blade-fuse connections on) and all OK now, starts and runs fine.
Thanks for the help guys.
