Which fuel grade for 2.0i 16v?
Well I've today bought the 58 reg C5 2.0i 16v auto that I mentioned in another thread. Should I be putting bog standard unleaded in it or the super 98 octane stuff? I'm only really concerned about fuel economy, not performance.

Use the bog standard stuff... You may find a marginal improvement in economy using premium 98 octane stuff but the savings from the extra economy are unlikely to outweigh the enhanced price of the super stuff..
The engine will be perfectly happy on 95 octane stuff.
If you want to know for sure, make a note of the mpg achieved using standard 95 over a couple of tankfuls and then do the same over a couple of tankfuls of super 98 and see what the difference in and costs are...

I always say if it’s not designed to use the better stuff all you are doing is wasting money.
