Michel's Motors

Unread post by Michel »

Well, obviously I wasn't going to stay Citroen-free for long.
Today I bit the bullet and went and gave a nice man some money and my 207 for the 08 plate Picasso GP that I saw on Thursday that had a knackered clutch.

Clutch has been replaced. Invoices and warranty for 40k. Drives nicely now and it all works so far. It's a 1.8 Petrol engine, 5 speed manual gearbox. VTR so manual AC and no nav but a very comprehensive history.

So far, so good. Mrs. Michel likes it. Michel junior likes it and bikes and enormous amounts of shopping fit in the back...

I shall be fixing the things that are annoying me this week, and if I can find a slightly obsessive man who's good at wielding a tape measure, I'll fit some parking sensors..

It needs.. Well, a cable for aux in. It has some minor scratches to T-cut out. One of the door seals needs sorting out as it's a little noisy. It is clean enough inside but not clean enough so the steam cleaning man is coming to do it properly.

I do have a tape measure, and I also have a Lexia. Wednesday?

However, I wonder if you can get a look at the inside of the bumpers? It might be possible to see where officially mounted sensors have their mouldings.

Wednesday would be good if I can find a set on that Amazon plate that are a reasonable colour match for "metallic turd brown"..

Many thanks Richard. VIN is .... 45356393

Obviously, it'll be the expensive one. Mine works, it's just really worn and white where it should be black.

I wonder if our local scrappy might have any GPs there? Might be worth a visit. I was there recently, but I was not looking for those vehicles.

Can you tell from the VIN if my car should have the aux adaptor in the glovebox?
