Re: Citroen c5 x7 front break pad sensor
The Brake pad wear harness is available as a separate part (number 12 in the diagram). It is likely that the harness has either been snipped off or removed by somebody as according to your VIN, the harness was fitted to your vehicle.
It is part number 4433 03 and in the UK costs £17.69 (Excluding VAT)

Re: Citroen c5 x7 front break pad sensor
On my C5 the connectors for the front brake pad sensors are only fitted on the left hand side of the car. I think the genuine Citroen replacement pads come with enough leads (number 12 in picture above) to connect up both left and right sides of the cars, but these pads are used in a lot of different models of cars (Peugeot, Citroen and others) and some of them will have connectors on both sides of the car. Check both sides of your car to see if there are two small connectors to plug in the leads as they may only be present on one side.
Sadly no longer a C5 owner

Re: Citroen c5 x7 front break pad sensor
Yes, I've checked on the wiring diagrams and 'goggi10' only has a left hand brake wear indicator. I suspect this is because he has the manual handbrake with standard metallic suspension.
My car has it on both sides as denoted by the wiring diagram:

Re: Citroen c5 x7 front break pad sensor
This is taken from my 2009 C5. The photo is taken from in front of and above the front left hand wheel / suspension. The two white connectors are the warning wires - they are one end of item 12 in the previous parts diagram Givemeabreak posted up. They might be missing on yours, or they might be a different colour. If the 2 hole black rubber socket that they push into isn't attached to your car then you probably haven't got the brake warning wiring fitted.

Re: Citroen c5 x7 front break pad sensor
Your car did have the sensor according to your VIN but ONLY on the left hand side. So check in the picture Bobins posted for the harness somewher. Again, maybe the previous owner didn’t respect the warning system and cut it! The replacement leads won’t be any good without the harness to plug into though.

Re: Citroen c5 x7 front break pad sensor
It seems a strange idea to me that they'd build a car without pad wear sensors on all the front pads but maybe they know something we don't.
I know that Renault used to supply brake pads that were 'handed' i.e. they were marked to be fitted to the left or right side of the vehicle, Trafics were notable for this.

What torx head I need to remove the fixed part of the caliper? screw 7 from the diagram.
I did not want to open a new topic only for this.

The bolt is a 12 X 150 -30, so I suspect a T30

I have torx T55 since the time I changed the rotors at Xantia. Today I've checked at C5 and it is the same.
