Gearbox linkages - restoring 'tightness/firmness'

Hi all,

Car details to the left.

I've seen videos, where the washers, nuts, bushes - along gear linkages are renewed/replaced - and gear changes become firmer, tighter and more positive again.

Need to ask if this apply to my car - and how difficult the job might be?
