2005 C5 II V6 fuel regulator mount...

Hi,

Does anyone have a photo or a diagram of how the fuel regulator is mounted in the 2005 C5 II V6 Petro? The butcher who have worked on the car prior to me owning it have used tie wrap to secure the regulator right now.

Below are the photos of how the current fuel regulator is secured. Thank you for your help.

This is for your V6 Petrol Alvin. It looks like the Fuel Pulsation Buffer and fixing clip (6 & 7 in the diagram). It would seem you have the support clip (20) already.

I can't see that there's anything obviously missing - as there aren't other securing fittings shown in the diagrams, that I can see,

BTW, probably not relevant for this discussion, but that is not actually the pressure regulator. The pressure regulator is probably mounted on one end of one of the fuel rails (on the ES9J4 it is mounted on the underside of the front fuel rail at the cambelt end of the engine). That device works more like a little accumulator to absorb the pressure pulses from each injector opening and closing.

Ok. Well, the fuel pulsation buffer is held on by a black tie wrap, while the fuel line is "assisted" by the white tie wrap so that the tube will "securely" mate to the fuel buffer unit. Thus, I am hoping to determine how this unit is secured - either to the front shock tower sheet metal or the suspension pipe mount? I believe that part #12 from my car is broken. Thank you.

I hope that all is well with you. So I had a junk yard specialist purchase the entire pipe and buffer assembly. So it should not be trivial to replace the entire assembly and to fiddle with tie wrap holding the pipe to the buffer.

By the way, because of so many little issue with the C5 during the restoration project of mine, I have recently purchased a 2007 407SW 2.2 Petrol that is in immaculate condition. However, I got to tell you, the AL4 is completely the wrong transmission for the EW engine. I wish the engineers did the engine with the AM6 or a CVT.

In addition, I am sending out my RT5 radio to someone who claims that can fix / upgrade the RT5 in China. If not, then I will have to send it out to Spain.

Nonetheless, I much appreciate what you and the people on this forum has been doing for me. The information is exceptionally useful.
