pump testing rookie

Unread post by seanrx »

OK.
I know most about electrics, so here goes.

Using leads from my car battery to pump motor for testing. Will the battery turn it?

Was on YouTube and there's fellas there with a dozen batteries linked up to test one small motor?
And how to wire my pump, I'd be grateful for a guide. My LDS arrived so I'm keen to raise my sorry looking motor.

If you still have it on the bench, connect the two main thick leads to + & - and touch the thin lead to + and the motor should run.
Be sure to have it fastened down or it will jump off the bench. :-D

Right, not tested pump yet, but have just tested in car power.

12 volts on the large two pin plug.
0 volts on the small command plug.

Tested with ignition on, battery at 12.5 and probe on single purple pin.
And probe only needs to touch silver, no need to push it further down?

Not right is it ?
Should be some power as car always raises normally.

If the car's still rising that surely means the pump is working - without it you'd have no life from the suspension.

Jumped the gun with my last post.
Now that pump is back in the car after cleaning and has bhi connection, there is voltage on command switch.
