Firstly, hello everyone.
Have been a member for a while and just by lurking have found fixes I need. Bsi reset, maxi fuse location which have been a godsend. But finally a suspension problem I'm not sure about.
I own a 2l petrol exclusive, 54 plate and when I start the car, the 40amp maxi fuse blows immediately.
I confirmed this by leaving fuse box out. Also, i used car jack under one side of car to extend susp and 'reset' it but no joy.
Two fuses blown, wheels on ground then one side raised. Battery is freshly charged.
This all happened after an oil change. I raised car to remove undertray then I drove driver's side onto low blocks to tip over oil sump for draining oil then lowered car.
A lot of Q's on here regarding suspension but I had ask about maxi fuse immediately blowing.
another suspension question.

Re: another suspension question.
Hi and welcome.
It's possible that your Suspension pump contained in the BHI may be shot. IF there is lots of oil or burnt carbon deposits, it's likely this is causing the overheating and the shorts.
