C8

Post by tycho »

We've recently bought a C8, and was all running fine. However, today it's started intermittently 'jumping'. Only seems to happen when holding at about 30mph, like it's run out of fuel, but give it some gas, and it's fine. Might not do it again for a while then....???

Any ideas what me might be looking at - and cost wise??? Advisory on last MOT was a slight exhaust leak - possible cause??

It's a 2006, Diesel.

I doubt it's caused by an exhaust leak.
When was it last serviced and did it have a fuel filter?
If it's an electronic or DPF issue I have no expertise on these things and others will be along later who do with more, probably better, ideas.

It was last serviced in October by previous owner. It has full service history. The last 2 services are from the same garage, which does not include it's phone number on the stamp, and I can't find it on google to call and ask what was done.

We're going to take it to a mechanic this morning to see if we can find out what's wrong, as don't want to end up stranded somewhere. Hoping it's not too many £££££ :-(
