The vans got an irritating niggle.
When indicating left it clicks fast and says bulb blown.
Getting out to look i find all indicators working and flashing at correct speed.
Its apparantly done this since the ns mirror was replaced, the mirror does contain an indicator bulb.
The vans a 63 plate 2.2hdi boxxer.
Should a bsi reset fix it? Do i just follow std peugeot procedure? The batterys in the cabin footwell so I expect window down and bonnet up can be ignored.
If not then where am I looking? New bulb? Check connection?

Re: Boxxer indicator problem
I'd say check the bulbs, or even better replace them anyway since these sorts of electronic bulb failure warnings can be triggered by something as daft as a bit of dirt on a contact or an older bulb's resistance changing before it actually fails. Knowing the mirror has been replaced at the start of the problem, I'd start with that (and make sure it's 100% correct bulb) plus look at the contacts and wiring plug.
If that fails to sort it then do the other bulbs & clean the sockets on those too. I had similar on an old Jag with a similar bulb failure "mechanism" which used to click fast but keep the actual bulbs flashing at normal rate, it was dirt on the rear bulb in that case..

Re: Boxxer indicator problem
Will have a fuddle shortly, thanks
Re: Boxxer indicator problem
It was all down to the bulb.
It should have w16w in the mirror indicators. Ns was fitted with a w5w. Swspping the bulbs round made the fault move to the other side. A pack of orange w16ws has been ordered.

Re: Boxxer indicator problem
I had a feeling they would've been "funny" ones... can't understand the need for moving away from 21w indicators/fogs/brakes and 5w everything else to be honest, is there really a genuine need for it or is it just change for change's sake? Glad it was something simple anyway.

Re: Boxxer indicator problem
Not sure but the side that had the correct w16w is burning the plastic out. Just like xantias do on the interior bulbs.
I wonder if its to restrict supply, not easy to find w16w in orange. Peugeot would probably manage at £20 each or something. Local dealer wanted £150 to give me a quote this morning on a door repair.
