Almost complete LX Turbo D at A5 Car Breakers

Unread post by Xantian 304K »

In recent weeks I studied intensely the debate on Xantia blower issues with most useful links to all the details (thanks,
guys), because mine has begun blowing with gale force incontrolably, which I could stop only by removing fuse 22.
I have already established diplomatic relations with a young and ambitious electrician who might be willing to replace
the transistors but then I had the inspiration (it had to be telepathy) to pay yesterday a visit to the A5 French Car
Breakers. And indeed, in front of the shed it was there - a red S-reg Turbo LX, the first Xantia in two years (the
previous was blue) which has, for some incomprehensible reasons as the engine was in perfect condition, failed the
MOT. To me it was sheer beauty, despite some flaking paint, but most important, it had an intact blower and its
headlights were in mint conditions, so I canibalised it instantly. I'll drive with the blower to Pleiades but there is still a
lot of car left to take apart.

Happy driving,

The duff blower regulator you have is easily repaired...

It's a very common problem...
