C4 GP Additive pump

Hi,
C4 PICASSO GP 2008 - 1.6 HDi 110 particle emission filter,, (DV6TED4) piloted manual gearbox 6
Does anyone know how / where from, the additive pump is triggered, ?
Anyone have a wiring diagram with it on ?

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
It's the additive Pump that calculates the quantity of additive to be injected into the fuel. If you want a diagram, post up or PM your VIN, as I'll need that info to select the appropriate wiring diagram.

Do you happen to know what triggers it ? Is it the opening of the fuel flap or pushing the fuel cap button inside ? or some other magic ,

I've sent you the diagrams via email - there are 2 sets of 3. This is because there is likely to be a variant somewhere, so have included both. The first one is the diagram the second is the actual wiring diagram and lastly the third one is the location of all the ECUs etc. So page 1, 3 & 5 go together and 2, 4 & 6 are the other variant. I've explained the codes for the components in the email.

Can you recommend where I can get a decent workshop manual and electrical diagrams from ?
I bought an online one , it's ok, but a struggle to use it, I prefer a cd / dvd based one if there is such a thing out there..

They weren't officially released to the public AFAIK Steve but were available some time ago from certain places. However they are all online now with PSA servers, requiring a subscription / account. I can help with the odd diagram now and then if that helps.

I realise I am commenting on an old thread, however, I am at a loss on how the additive pump is triggered. It's not working at the moment and before I replace it I want to ensure it's not nothing simple. Thanks.

The additive pump is triggered by the engine ECU (early models had a separate Additive ECU). The engine ECU determines when the additive pump needs to inject a measured amount of additive into the fuel tank as a result of diesel being added.
