Does anyone have a non turbo 1.2 petrol ETG in anything, and if so what do you think of it in real world use?
My wife is thinking about an auto - aging joints making lots of clutch use a bit uncomfortable. We now have a C3 1.2 Puretech petrol 2015, Mk 2 shape manual and are well pleased, engine is astonishingly good. She has seen a pre-owned low mileage similar spec car with ETG. I have driven an ETG with the old 1.6 vti briefly and was not wholly convinced, you can get smooth up changes by backing off the accelerator a bit but it seemed hesitant off the line.
A test drive will tell us more, but will we love it or hate it after a few thousand miles?
