Berlingo: Replacing Dashboard Lights ?

Post by inventsol »

Greetings from Sweden
Question concerns 1997 Berling 1.9 D
Any help or advice on how to change a dashboard light (rev counter/fuel). Also should the heating console be illuminated? If so any advice on replacing bulbs.
Thanks in advance

Inventsol,
Depends on the age of the thing.
I have a 2000 berlingo 1.9d.
All the dashboard illumination and indicators are LEDs - they 'should' not fail and are soldered to the main dash pcb.
Yes the heater controls are illuminated.
The dash brightness can be adjusted - is yours set to minimum?
the RHS button (on the actual dash), if held down with lights on, will cycle thru increasing/decreasing brightness.
If both your dash and heater control illumination is not working suspect you have a wiring problem.
enjoy.

Hi all,

Just found this through Google.

Does anyone know if the clock/multifunction display on a mk2 54 plate Berlingo has it's own fuse somewhere? The display itself still works and shows 'Door open' etc, but the backlights have all stopped working. I've tried two sets of LED's and standard filament lamps.

Also the very left most part of the heater controls has gone dark, whether it's a failed lamp or related to the above I don't know...the rest of the dials are fine.

Thanks for any advice!
