Post by sutty86 »

Right straight to the point
I've heard about remapping out, block with a steel gasket , vacuum pipes blocked off and a connector you unplug.

How do I go about unconnector this egr connector then....
Easiest way first please.

Getting hold of a kess v2 next week to remap it out

Please read the Forum rules - specifically A (7). We don't allow practical advice on disabling emissions systems / components as these are likely to break applicable laws.

The above reply doesn't seem particularly pragmatic. The OP's topic is relatively common across most car forums, and the advice is freely available. Indeed, I am sure there are dozens of threads on this forum concerning the issue.

If legal issues are the true concern, members offering advice does not leave the forum as an entity liable for any illegal activity taken in pursuance of that advice. If moral issues relating to increased emissions are the concern, lets be honest that our giving or withholding of advice on this topic is trivial. If the forum has adopted a new position on issues like this, that is (unwelcome) news to me.

Removing disabling Diesel Particulate Filters / EGRs is likely to break applicable laws and as such this Forum does not condone such activities. The Acceptable Use Use Policy was updated in December 2016 to reflect this under A7. People are of course free to look elsewhere for this sort of info.
