Little about me 30 years old male ,live near Skipton and an advanced tech (one down from paramedic) on the ambulances

Bought a xpic late 2004 model 1.6hdi with 54k on the clock FSH.
Cambelt done 4 years ago 10k miles done since.
Last full service DEC 16
Bought the car and immediately noticed a whine putting my foot down in all gears mainly low.
Found out the turbo sleeve was torn (great hole)
So have to wait to goto stealers tomorrow.
Few other niggles I have can't seem to get aircon,cruise control,reverse sensors to work

Minor things but want to take the car over the water to France soon.

Looking for pointers how to sort out , I like to try and fix things myself.
Have ramps, jacks,stands and a few tools.

Also wife owns a c1 are the clutch's so high
