C5 X7 front bumper removal?
Does anyone here happen to have official guide for removing front bumper? I had one, but seem to have lost it somewhere when changing computer. I know it's available at service.citroen, but if anyone here has it I would be glad...

I can't help with a guide but I'm curious about this facelift. Are you simply changing to the smoother facelift chevrons or something more radical like putting Xenon headlights in place of standard Halogen ones?

Re: C5 X7 front bumper removal?
I'm changing xenon headlights with halogen DRL to xenon headlights with LED DRL.
Thank you Sticky, I've removed and reinstalled bumper once about three years ago, and I don't quite remember what else had to be dismantled before those nylon lugs. That official guide had every step nicely documented. I wish I wouldn't break anything this time. I broke one of those lugs because I twisted it in the wrong direction. Luckily the other on same side was enought to keep bumper in place.

I can help you with that, I'll need your VIN as I don't keep old posts if you've sent it before. Interestingly, what are you doing about the wiring as they are different connections and power outputs?

Thank you Marc, just received your email!
As far as I know, connectors should be the same. Vborovic did same facelift with halogen headlights without problem, so there shouldn't be any difference with xenon headlights either? I don't even have to use diagbox for this because my DRL's already work without sidelights. LED-DRL wouldn't work if sidelights would be activated with DRL.

Re: C5 X7 front bumper removal?
I'll have a look at the electricals now... what a mess - the trouble is it's not telling me anything about the supply. Comparing the 2014 model with your model - the diagrams are springing to life in colour and jumping out at me!
My only thoughts were that on our models the DRLs are 24W taking a halogen bulb and power supply from within the headlamp casing circuit. I really can't say how the LED on the facelifted model gets powered. Is it the similar type of headlamp casing circuit or does it have a separate connector? If it is powered internally from the headlamp, will the wiring for the headlamp be the same? Hopefully you'll be able to find out and let us know!

Re: C5 X7 front bumper removal?
I've looked at service.citroen and connectors seem to be same on both led and halogen drl's. As far as I've understood, LED-DRL gets power from same pin than halogen DRL. And when there's NOT current on sidelight connector, then LED-DRL is on full power. When there's current on sidelight connector, then LED-DRL is dimmed as sidelight. Hence it's not possible to have sidelights in the rear on same time with C5 X7 with LED-DRL.
vborovic could easily confirm what I just wrote there, but unfortunately he isn't anymore with us with his upgrading skills.

Also vborovic wrote earlier that changing headlight is plug and play, so there shouldn't be any trouble. Let's just hope ballasts (or whatever they are under headlight with xenons) are compatible between old and new version, because I have them on only one of my new LED-headlights. I also have to do minor repairs for the headlight mounting brackets, because both of the new headlights have some broken brackets. Luckily I have a pair of old halogen headlights that I can use as spare.

Re: C5 X7 front bumper removal?
No, too much to do, too little time (= I'm lazy). This will have to wait till next spring unfortunately... Unless I don't have anything else to do on my autumn holiday next month.
I'm also considering installing led bar high beam in the upper bumper grill at the same time, and don't have the money to buy a proper one just yet. They say that high beam on these Xenon headlights is pretty bad. I'll have to see next winter if I can live with them.
