and so the fun and games continue. I have fitted a new (pre enjoyed) AEI box and bingo, fired up and ran for an hour on my drive, no issues at all.
Feeling flushed with joy at this major triumph, I decided to 'tidy' as best I could the horror show of wiring in the battery area
You've guessed it, it now won't start!
I'm now 99% certain that it's a fuel pump problem, either failed pump (unlikely) or disturbed wiring in the battery area
Is there a wire, connector, etc that I should look for in particular?
What a hoot eh!!!

Actually, its the pump!
Just done a quick check, 12 volts at pump when cranking, pump not working when connected to a 12 volt power source
Anyone know an alternative to the £110 one listed at GSF..??!!

Ok, more updates. The pump IS now working, and is pushing fuel through the rail at a healthy flow. The car will initially splutter, but won't run. There doesn't seem to be any feed/pulse at the injector plugs...

Do they have the tachymetric relay (i think thats what it was called)? Mine went on the 309 caused similar issues? Also an obvious one but have you checked the earths to chassis and box? That also went on the 309, driving along fine and suddenly stopped, wouldn't go, battery to gearbox earth had deteriorated and broken, significantly due to my Youthful exuberance with the throttle and 'racing gear changes'
