Big mistake, tried to repair the throttle, HELP!!!

I so wanted to fix my car because i started to stall always, no matter if it was warm or not.
So just now i tried to see what i could do and i pulled out some cord or that i think is the throttle reglator. I put it back again, and just felt like i wanted to get away from it all.

I put the key in and then i get a phonecall almost the same minute. Normally i wont answer, but i was sure it was myh doctor. And it was.
Then something happend when i should start the car, it refuses to start. Gas is almost full, some lights and things i not seen before is showing. I think one light only, but still it refuse to start.

I dont wanna believe that my car is finished, i dont want to give up on it. Is there anyone who can tell what i can do make it work again?

I have no idea what happend, and the Citroen repair is too ezpensive I dont want to let anyone repair it but Citroen, i love it too much for leave it away.

It may help if you let us know what car you have, what engine is fitted to it & what year it is.

Can you give a clearer description, or take a photo of what you unplugged, also the warning lights, and we might be able to help.
I had a mk2 Xantia V6 which a couple of times would not start until the battery was disconnected and then reconnected to reset the ECU (the mk1 has never done that).

Im sorry, it is a Citroen Xantia break frpn 2000 or 1999

It refuse to start and it does make feel like a thieve...

I just find the spare key here, might just throw it away in totally anger!
Not gonna help me when the car is broken will it....
