Just ignore that - it's reached the limit of zones used to store logs of faults and won't store any more. You should still be able to erase any faults as normal.

It will not let me erase faults.

Have you 'Read' the faults first by going into the fault and then tried to erase them?

Have a look in this video (courtesy of EasyDiagnostics) at time index 7:52, keep your eye on the service log message at the bottom of the Diagbox display - you will see that this has 50 out of 50 stored, yet the codes can still be erased. Note engine must not be running - just ignition on, so make sure the vehicle is not going into economy mode before you have had time to clear them.

Note this was an earlier version of Diagbox (v6.22), but the principle should be the same as the service zones are stored on the BSI I believe and not in the individual ECU being tested.

OP is trying to do it on a 406 in PP rather than diagbox - no BSI, so not sure where the faults are stored. Worth a try in Diagbox? Otherwise, might be an option somewhere to delete some of the earlier service points.

Same principle - they still have service slots stored on the BSI / ANC. :-D

Just about all PSA cars have a BSI / ANC and I use that interchangeably Richard, albeit ANC being earlier versions - 407:

I have read the faults, and it lets me clear them, but when I run a global test. They are still there. If I run Diagbox it says no faults.

Ok, so we know permanent faults won't erase if the fault is not rectified.
On the C5, there are known 'ghost' faults elating to the Suspension ECU (won't affect you on the Peugeot) and some others which Citroen know about - when the Global Test is run, it's the triggering of the ESP ECU that reports a fault, but there isn't any actual fault - we just ignore it as long as there are no other associated faults. Maybe it is one of these or similar on the Peugeot. I think the other one was glow plugs or similar - again not an issue.

I have 1 permanent fault. It's the fuel cap.
Then there is 3 intermidiate faults
All related to the dpf.
It has no effect on anything actually, it just bothers me that it wont clear.

Is the permanent fault along the lines that it cannot see if it is open or closed?

What's the blockage level on the DPF? If it can't regenerate it will start blocking to the extent you want be able to regenerate it, anywhere between 70% and up.

I think models around your year used the opening of the fuel cap to determine when to dose the additive. Is your Eolys level ok?

The dpf was totally blocked. It just could'nt regenerate. I have fitted a new one. This is after 330.000 km. That is actually pretty good I've been told. Just filled the Eolys.
The fuel filler cap fault, has been there forever, never gotten around to fix it. Dont actually now what influence it has on anything.

Ok, every time the fuel cap is opened it notifies the additive ECU and that determines if and when the Eolys is injected. On later models a different system is used.

Mine must be a later model then, cause it seems like the the only thing it does is show a message in the mfd that the fuel cap is'nt closed.

Seems like all faults are cleared though. The car drives like a dream.
Rather impressed with the old cluncker. It has done 331000 km. No smoke, no noises, just a no nonense car.

That could cause the fault then. There is (I believe) a magnet and reed switch system used to let the system know each time the fuel cap has been opened. It is not unheard of for the magnet to fall off, so the system then 'thinks' the cap is open.
