C1 remote locking issue

We have 2006 C1 with factory fitted remote locking, however it has just stopped working. We have replaced the battery then had the key tested but still the remote key buttons don't lock or unlock the car. Turning the key in the lock does lock/unlock all doors as it should. I have tried lexia but no mention of locking ecu or faults, what next ?

When you change the battery in the key fob. you normally need to re-initialise it. Put the key in the ignition and turn the ignition on, then hold the lock button down for 5 to 10 seconds, remove the key from the ignition close the doors and then try locking and unlocking the car with the fob a few times.
