Hi,
Since I realize that my car has been butchered by previous owner and mechanic, we have found that the metal skid plate (which we think is OE) is rubbing up against the oil pan. We checked that the skid plate is in good shape and straight, however, the plastic piece in front of it is in bad shape with screws and screw insert missing. The metal skid plate currently require shims / washers so that it will not rub the oil pan, thus, if someone have a picture of how it is mounted would help to see if any other OE parts are missing. On the other hand, does anyone have experienced with bad engine mount which caused the engine to drop slightly so that it rub up against the OE skid plate?
Thank you.

Re: C5 3.0V6 oil pan rubbing skid plate
Your C5 has 2 components - the under engine protection (metal) and the under engine deflector (which is plastic). On your Petrol model, there are 3 metal quarter-turn bolt clips (1 in the first diagram) and 4 screws - so 7 fixing points in all. The deflector tabs slot into the metal protector.
