BX 1.7 DTR cold start thermostat.

Please could some one tell me what sort of job it is to change and set up the cold start thermostat on my aged 1.7 td. Also the best procedure for bleeding the cooling system after?

Quite easy, the thermostat screws into the thermostat housing sealed by a rubber washer and is connected to the fuel pump by a short bowden cable,simply replace the old one and check BOL for adjustment instructions, you should not lose a lot of coolant changing it, look on these pages for gems about bleeding the system
