2012 C4 vtr Door Mirror Price?

Hi new to the forum. Recently purchased a 2012 Citroen C4 but had a mirror that didn't fold (drivers side). Got the garage to replace it but now have a mirror from euro car parts that doesn't fold or have an ambient temp sensor or any welcome lighting. (My local garage fitted it without checking full functionality..). Where can I get a proper mirror & what's the price? Struggling to find anywhere online.

I don't have that to hand at the moment. Any idea where to get the official mirror? These after market ones don't have full functionality.

Yes, I realise that, which is why I need the VIN - it is visible at the base of the passenger windscreen cut out. As you've just realised there are many different types according to trim level and year and not everyone will be able to offer the specific part for your vehicle, so that's why the VIN is important.

Been quoted £411 by Citroen including labour. Hoping the dealership I bought it from is gonna pay up. Appear to also have non working air con. Are ac unit failures common?

There are aftermarket ones that will be a LOT cheaper - but we need the car reg or the VIN.

As for the A/C, depends on how it's been used. I've had a new A/C condenser and compressor on my X7 at 65k miles. I have climate control on most of the time so A/C always in use. I only switch it off when driving with the windows open in the summer on a coastal run. They should be operated at least monthly to ensure the seals are maintained. Having an A/C service every few years and the gas topped up will keep it maintained, but generally it's luck of the draw. Never had an issue with the A/C in either the MK I or MK II which both did double / treble the miles of the current X7.

The problem I had with the aftermarket one they supplied is it didn't have full functionality. May have been for an older model.. Temp sensor didn't work, no welcome lighting and didn't fold electronically. Probably a stupid question but does not having a temp sensor have any effect on climate control? Will get back to you tommorow if they won't pay the full cost and see what my options are.

I don't think you are understanding me. There are MANY types of mirror units depending on your trim level. Some are manually adjustable, most have the outside temperature sensor, some are heated, some are tinted, some are electrically operated and some have power foldback. They can be a combination of any of these functions, so we need your reg or VIN to be able to tell you the correct part number for your car, so you can quote this when looking for an aftermarket one. I don't think I can be clearer than that. The point is they are not all the same - aftermarket or genuine Citroen. Can't help further unless you provide the information requested.

Yeah I understand that completely don't worry!! I know you need the vin number. I'm just seeing what happens with the dealership at the moment. They already supplied the wrong mirror you see. I'm just shooting my mouth off I guess. I will take it further when I see where I stand. If they pay the full whack I'll just go to Citroen & get it sorted. If not I will be coming back to you for help, don't you worry

Ok, that's fine. As an example, there are 12 variations alone of the driver's door mirror for a C4 depending on year and model, so I'm assuming the place you bought it from was not a Citroen dealership as they wouldn't have made that mistake (I hope)!
