Boot rust on C5 MK1

Anyone else got this issue?

I know the old girl is getting on bit but she needed a bit of tlc. Hate rust on the car. Got rid of 2 cars before due to rust.

Now done this on the cheap to avoid having the boot pained professionally. Not to everyone's taste but as said cheaply done and I ain't no pro painter.

Not finished yet need a 10mm stripe to go top and bottom of the silver vinyl in a different colour.

What colour do you think? Black? Chrome? Dark grey?

Looks OK Wayne!

I reversed my C5 into a tree in the works car park a couple of years ago and apart from unsightly dent and creases on the boot the paint is gone in places.
Surprisingly there is no rust whatsoever anywhere on the car - same age as yours but very shabby in comparison - I believe it has been crashed some time before I bought it.

Finished off with another stripe top and bottom.

Just hope the vinyl lasts and does not peel off.
