Hello, I am a newbie on here.
I have just acquired a 2007 Berlingo 1.6HDI 90bhp Multispace. Very low miles and in lovely condition. However, I removed the undertray to change the oil and found a small hose loose just hanging there. I traced it back and the other end is connected to what I understand is the fuel filter, Delphi HDF 939.
The car performs extremely well pulling as it should and there are no diesel smells or leaks but surely this hose must go somewhere. I have searched all around for a vacant orifice but no joy.
Does anyone have any idea?
I have attached a few photos and one of them shows the length of the hose laying across the engine cover.
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi and welcome to the Forum,
That's the sort of hose used for the air conditioning to drain away condensation.
Post up your VIN and I'll see what I can see

Re: Where does this hose go??
Thanks for the reply, I agree it is only a flimsy hose although why would an air con drip pipe be connected to the fuel filter? Anyway I'll run it with the A.C. running tomorrow and see if it drips water. Cheers.
Just seen you're asking for the VIN I will do that too. By the way it's a Spanish car, we live in spain and UK.

Re: Where does this hose go??
It might not be - but there are a few different 1.6 engines on these - I'll need your VIN to get the right one then I can what's there.

Re: Where does this hose go??
Maybe a drain hose for the water trap in the fuel filter.

Re: Where does this hose go??
I wonder (but I am WONDERING, not sure) if that pipe is to allow any water in the diesel to drain away?

Re: Where does this hose go??
As it's located just above the water in fuel sensor it's likely this is the water in fuel drain as Gibbo / James suggest.

Thanks Marc Gibbo and James, I think you're right. I'll route it down to the tray area safely out of the way.
Cheers
