I'm dismantling a BE3 from a Xsara VTS and have got as far as removing the roll pin from the gear selector shaft (about 3/4 of the way down on CitroJims guide). The pin is different from the one in Jim's guide and another guide I've found:

I can't see how I pull it out and it's reluctant to be driven forward any. Bigger hammer required or different method?

Re: BE3 Gearbox Rebuild Help
Ok, got there in the end by putting a large blob of weld on top of the pin and levering it out with a very large bar. No doubt this has resulted in many parts becoming scrap, fortunately I'm only interested in the 2 shafts. Is there an "approved" method for future reference?

Re: BE3 Gearbox Rebuild Help
If I remember well the roll pin contains 2 parts, inner and outer roll-pins. First you have to remove the inner pin and after the outer pin.
