C4 Picasso AdBlue problem

Unread post by harryp »

Hi all,
Have an interesting little problem with our C4.
Manual and all sales blurb says it should have AdBlue. Lexia confirms a problem communicating with the ecu... and there is no evidence of any AdBlue tank/reservoir having ever been installed. Car was a dealer to dealer sale and we are recorded as first owner at 2 years old, even though purchased in Telford, the dealer stamp is Yeo's of Plymouth.
When the wife first saw it before purchase, both front tyres were completely bald - at 9000 miles!
If I put up the VIN, can anyone put up the factory spec?
Thanks in advance....

Your vin number comes up as a 115bhp hdi, Euro 5, so no ad blue. You have stop start so it may well say 'eco' in a few places.

The 120bhp Euro 6 ones had ad blue. In the C4 Pic, the ad blue filler is a pretty large diameter screw cap situated in the spare wheel well, right hand side and a Blue HDI badge on the boot lid, but yours won't/shouldn't have either.

The 115 (I think they were all called e-Hdi) is in the £20 road tax band, the Blue Hdi is zero. Dealer should send you £20 per year forever if they got it wrong :)

Richard/Mark
Thank you very much. There is no AdBlue tank anyway, but was suspicious regarding the tyres....

Nothing to be sorry about Harry! At least you know you're not carrying around a load of Urea!
