Steering cylinder bush

Post by xantos »

Does anyone know the size of this bush or which part can be used? Mine has perished and it's rattling quite a bit...

I believe it may be a similar size as an Activa rear ram bush ;)

I'd be tempted to make one in a similar pattern to my replacement ram bush out of Nylon 66 given they are not available as a replacement part...

Yes making one is an option... Got a tip from my friend that the bush should be the same as in Saxo with power steering... Will try it. Costs just above 10eur...

That could be useful to know. If that bush is right for an Activa that could save a bit of money and hassle.

Well I think it fits! This is from Jim's site: "The bush is simply a cylinder 23.9mm in diamater, 23.8mm long with a 12mm hole through the centre." And if you see picture from Citroen service the Saxo bush is 24mm in diameter and fits with M12 nut... So... The part from Saxo is 10eur and original Activa bush (NFP) was 150pounds. And I bet they are the same!
