Xantia Mk1 headlights relay location?

Hi all, I have a problem with one of the headlights, it blows the bulb and now the fuse. I there must be a short somewhere - I think it's either at the connector to the headlight block or inside the bulb fitting itself as the voltage measured at the connector is fine and at the bulb connector. I wonder if the dip and main have two seperate earths as there are two earth connections at the multi plug.

his thread may help, I would strongly advise to rewire the headlamp circuit.............

Wiring diag in my BOL shows two earth wires at the lamp unit, but spliced together for a single earth (albeit one per light unit) at the main earth board behind the battery. There's no relay on MK1 lights - they are wired direct via the switch.
