Lexia help ... help!

Post by Peter.N. »

I can't get either of my Lexia's to connect to either of my 406s. It gets as far as selecting the model, click on 406 and it comes up 'VCI, not connected, I have no idea what that means I'm afraid or what to do about it.

I used to be able to connect OK but have not done so for a couple of years or so, can anyone explain in words of one syllable what I need to do. :?

Thanks

Peter

Have you done any updates or had a new computer to run it on? I found a couple of things in a web search that suggest you might need to check your software versions and make sure it's all installed correctly. http://www.obdmore.com/service/resolve- ... s-917.html

Thanks for that, my son suggested it might be a driver problem but this is the same laptop and Lexias that have worked perfectly well previously, I will investigate further.

Assume you are connecting via 16 pin OBD not the older 30 pin jobbie? Sometimes you just need to unplug the cable from the computer then plug it back in after you have selected the car type.
