Nemo

Post by nelson »

Hi

I have a Nemo 1.4hdi auto that is unable to start. Turns over but doesn't fire up.

I am wondering what the best code reader to get for this car is? Lexia with the add on S.1279 module.

Any help would be much appreciated

VIN no is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Cheers

Yes, if you are going to invest in a Lexia, get the S1279 too, as the Nemo is one of the vehicles that was jointly developed with Fiat and requires this module. A Lexia alone may not communicate with any or all of the ECUs.

Hi

Its alive now. I changed the Fuel rail pressure sensor. Now starting Ok

I bought it as a non runner. I was told by the previous owner Ecu and fuel pump had been changed by the garage but it made no difference. After searching this forum yesterday I saw a post about the fuel rail pressure sensor and thought I would give it a go.

Only issues now are the heater fan is not working and rear door says its open when its closed.

Think I will invest in a code reader for future problems.

Good forum by the way. Very helpful.

If you decide to buy a Lexia clone (and you plan on doing a lot of work on your van yourself (as well as helping others)) you could do a lot worse than use the Lexia Clone provided by Easy Diagnostics. They are knowledgeable, they want to help, and their equipment (as far as I know) has the full chipset, so should work on all PSA vehicles (although, for vehicles developed with Fiat, you will need the extra module). Here is a link to them through the Recommended Garages and Services section;

Hi
Thanks for the link to the code reader. 1 will have to be purchased soon. It wont be long paying for its self fixing a few problems.

Mention that you are an FCF member if buying from EasyDignostics and they will probably offer some discount - usually free postage.

Well done Neil, great news. There's nothing better than getting a non starter running. I would imagine the door is probably the switch.
