1.6 hdi injector seal location

Hello all,

Just fitting a new copper washer to my 1.6 hdi injector seat and have seen people post pictures of a seal and white nylon ring.

Strange question but where are these located? Are these fitted between the injector sleeve and cam box casing or do they contact with the injector?

Any help would be appreciated!

Sorry yes its a 2007 citroen dispatch 1.6 hdi 90hp, with the two retaining studs and barrel nuts.

Looking at the picture it appears that parts 8&9 live between the injector and sleeve, as opposed to between the cam box and sleeve.

I am therefore wondering if my injector was missing these two items as it currently open to atmosphere right down to the copper washer (I presumed this was normal).

Could you inform me whether there should be an additional seal higher up the injector shank?

Hi, sorry been out all day.

I have not a clue on that. With luck one of the other members has worked on that engine.

That said, all the parts are shown there, the page is from the latest Citroen Service document.
