Good morning peoples
I take it then that there are no C5 owners on here that have the egs6 gearbox fitted to their cars.????????

Re: check your actuator fluid level
For the gearbox, it is quite a complicated procedure and would take several pages here on describing what to do - so suffice to say I won't! Regarding the Piloting actuators this has to be done with the diagnostic and the actuator removed to replace the hydraulic reservoir oil, again using the diagnostic, then depressurising and bleeding the system:renagade wrote:Good morning peoples

1. Drain and refill
Connect the diagnostic equipment to the vehicle’s diagnostic socket.
Switch on the ignition.
Select from the diagnostic tool menus :
The vehicle
The RPO no.
Perform the global test.
Select and validate the menus :
Gearbox ECU
Specific operations
Draining of the gearbox piloting actuator oil
Follow the instructions given in the diagnostic tool (The operation is automatic).
All the oil contained in the electrohydraulic actuator unit and in the pressure accumulator returns to the piloting actuator hydraulic reservoir.
Remove the piloting actuator to replace the piloting actuator hydraulic reservoir oil.
2. Oil filler cap
CAUTION : In the case of a new hydraulic reservoir, remove the tab (1) to release the breather.
Fill via the cap (2).
Oil quality :
SELENIA oil
TUTELA CAR CS SPEED
SAE 75W (Part number 9979.A4)
Fill to the maximum mark ( as "a").
3. Fluid level
N.B. : The oil level is checked after depressurising the piloting actuator.
Connect the diagnostic equipment to the vehicle’s diagnostic socket.
Switch on the ignition.
Select from the diagnostic tool menus :
The vehicle
The RPO no.
Perform the global test.
Select and validate the menus :
Gearbox ECU
Specific operations
Check of the gearbox piloting actuator oil level
The diagnostic tool displays a new menu.
Select : Depressurisation of the hydraulic circuit.
Check the level of oil contained in the piloting actuator hydraulic reservoir.
The oil level must be at maximum ( as "a").
Carry out :
Top up with oil if necessary
Pressurise and bleed the hydraulic circuit

Re: check your actuator fluid level
My word you are not joking. You are my star once again my friend. While all is well I think I will leave it that way as my Lexia for some reason does not pick up on the egs6 gearbox. I have done dozen's of global test's and in all the documentation it does not see the egs6. I think I will leave till the warmer weather.

Re: check your actuator fluid level
Digging this out of the cupboard. Have a Peugeot 508 RXH Hybrid4 with a piloted gearbox that is acting up (jammed clucth). Before going for the outrageously expensive actuator replacement I thought I'd try replacing the fluid. I have access to Ravenol GHA-F that I've seen recommended in several places but don't know the capacity of the system? If anyone has this info please share.
Thank you
Thank you

Re: check your actuator fluid level
The actuator oil is specialised. Don’t use anything other than the official fluid type. Secondly, you will need to depressurise the entire system before checking the level and topping up where necessary, so will need an appropriate diagnostic tool.
But to be honest, you really need to have it diagnosed properly to see what the issue is. It may need a grid reset or clutch calibration procedure.

Re: check your actuator fluid level
Thank you,
Unfortunately the diagnostics is up to me. No one wants to touch this with a 3m stick.
I've had clutch slip a few days ago. No error message. Then few days ago a got a popup with P1755 and P0925. First one is actuator related, 2nd gearbox. Actuator says clutch jammed.
I am due a clutch replacement (with the flywheel) with 190k km+ on the clock. But the dealership simply wants to replace the actuator which costs on the upper side of 2000eur. It might be that it is only the clutch that needs replacement but deteriorsted fluid in the actuator seems to have been a problem for some people. Changing it did the trick. I'm not saying this will be the case for me but I am willing to try before setting out on a quest for a spare one before I need to. Thoughts? Thanks!

Re: check your actuator fluid level
Bloody hell. Under Suspect areas it should just say: Peugeot.
Gearbox oil had been changed last summer and no leaks were noticed. It will be changed again during when the flywheel is replaced along with all semmerings.
I still think it should be tested before splashing out for the whole actuator. They didn't even lift the car but said I should look for a replacement. I thought only us noobs are allowed to shoot the parts cannon.
I am encouraging (fooling) myself that the fact that I had, what felt as a clutch slip on a steep uphil garage exit, might just be a worn clutch that had never been replaced.
Do you maybe have the specs for the actuator fluid somewhere? Just in case.
Thank you so much for all the help!

Re: check your actuator fluid level
I can't advise on this as you have a Hybrid and all the shenanigans that involves, so I'd check with your dealer to see what they advise and to ensure it is the correct stuff for your specific vehicle.
