C2 04 heating problem

Post by Sandsman1 »

Hi everyone,
I bought an 04 C2 1.4 engine, the horrible person I bought from said the heating had just stopped working and he believed it was just a fuse? Rarrrgh Not! I have checked and replaced all fuses and also the Resistor underneath the dash on the drivers side. There is nothing when I turn the switches... I hear the parts moving and airducts changing etc.. but no fan noise at all.
Would anyone else be able to offer any further advice before it goes to garage please.
Yours thankfully
Citroen C2 Fan.

What you may have replaced is the heating resistance - there is usually a blower motor controller too - the noise you can hear is likely to be the reduction motors controlling the air distribution flaps. Post up your Car's VIN and I'll take a look at the diagrams for you.
