Cam belt water pump kit

Post by Cfiver »

Citroën C5 2004 RC_ [2004-2016] Hatchback 2.2 HDI Mk2

I'm having trouble locating a cambelt water pump kit for the above car. Have trawled Ebay without any success. Does anyone know the correct kit/part numbers for this?

Vin number VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] 766..... Engine number DZ344....

Many thanks to all for the help. I've now got parts.

Have you tried http://www.mister-auto.co.uk

We use them over here in France all the time and find they are super. Dont know about their UK outfit, but worth a look.

The last time I used Mr Auto they sent the wrong parts, I had to reorder and pay for the correct part and took months to get refunded from the original order with every excuse imaginable used and then some more. Quick and reasonable value if there is no mistakes though.

If it's a 136 BHP then:

Part Number Description Quantity Price excl. VAT Price incl. VAT Total incl. VAT Selection
00000831S3 MOTOR KIT 72.84 GBP 87.41 GBP 87.41 GBP
Or the reduced cost one:
E118427 TIMING KIT 46.26 GBP 55.51 GBP 55.51 GBP

Plus water pump:

1609402180 WATER PUMP 51.05 GBP 61.26 GBP 61.26 GBP

Reduced cost:
1609314480 WATER PUMP 35.16 GBP 42.19 GBP 42.19 GBP

If it's a 173 BHP then:

00000831V5 MOTOR KIT 107.25 GBP 128.70 GBP 128.70 GBP
Or cheap kit:
1607216880 TIMING KIT 75.38 GBP 90.46 GBP 90.46 GBP
Full kit including WP:
1613561880 COOLANT PUMP + TIMING KIT 293.92 GBP 352.70 GBP 352.70 GBP

Full price WP alone:
1610278080 WATER PUMP 80.24 GBP 96.29 GBP 96.29 GBP

Cheap WP alone
1607215980 WATER PUMP 48.18 GBP 57.82 GBP 57.82 GBP

So if you buy the full kit it is £125 more expensive than buying the belt kit and pump separately....

Plenty of both on e-bay by the looks of it...

Thanks Richard. I have looked at lots on Ebay but as soon as I put 2.2 HDI RC 2004 upwards they all say 'not suitable for this model'..

You didn't post up the correct VIN earlier as mentioned - if you want further help we'll need this to cross check parts.

4hx appears to be the engine code, which is the 136 I think.... post up the last 8 digits of the VIN and we'll check.

Engine is DZ344008256
It's the DW12TED4 (EW/DW)
Engine Code: 10 DZ34 4008256

Based on the above VIN, there are 2 parts shown for your car, but I can't tell you what the difference is between them:

1609524480 - Coolant Pump & Timing Kit
Link for this - various brands here:
http://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/oenumbe ... 24480.html

1609120080 - EM: Timing Kit & Coolant Pump
Can't find this one anywhere though!

I'm sure Richard will know what the EM stands for - Engine Mechanical??? But on Citroen Service it says on the 1609120080 part "AND AGE >= 3"

I don't know what EM stands for, but it's basically a cheaper part recommended for cars older than 3 years - they do the same with brake parts. EM French for alternative manufacturer or something??
