Help, Anti pollution fault.
Can anyone please help? I have had the anti pollution fault and my engine management light on my car now for around 2 months. The car runs perfectly except it struggles to start. I have a 2007 Citroen c2 1.4 hdi. A few weeks ago I had injector whistling so I had those repaired, the garage have changed my fuel filter, a new battery and several other parts but nothing. They believe now it may be my wiring harness but it'll cost me even more money. The code reader says the fault is piezo actuation fault, has anyone come across that before? Also a different code reader said low ignition voltage. Any help would be appreciated as this is my first car and I've already paid out over £1000 in less than a year. Thanks

Re: Help, Anti pollution fault.
I have a C5 Mk1 (2.0l HDi), and she would pop up the anti pollution fault every so often. A friend wondered if the EGR valve had an issue, and suggested disconnecting the thin rubber pipe that goes from the valve to the metal pipe along the bulkhead (to see what happened). What he found was a small split in the rubber pipe about 1cm from the valve end. He trimmed the pipe back, and my C5 has not had an anti pollution fault since.

I've been deleting the codes at the moment but after a couple of days the fault always comes back. It's such an inconsistent starter because sometimes it will start instantly and other times it'll take several attempts

I would also delete the codes (I have a Lexia clone), but because that pipe had a small leak there were inconsistent readings (which threw up the fault).

Re: Help, Anti pollution fault.
Can you post the exact fault code please, so we can be sure of the code number. You obviously have an ignition problem - and could be related to the work on the ignition circuit that your garage did - they may have disturbed one of the wires in the circuit.

I don't have access to a code reader at the moment but as soon as I can I will post them. Sorry I should've clarified in my original post, the car wouldn't start and that's why it went to the garage in the first place, that's where they found the problems with my injectors and battery

Re: Help, Anti pollution fault.
Update: I've reread the codes and the fault code that comes up is P1351 idm input circuit malfunction, key off voltage low. That's all it says

Re: Help, Anti pollution fault.
Ok, have a look at this post with the same problem:
https://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/ ... hp?t=25796
This should give you a couple of places to start looking.
Using a Lexia 3 diagnostic tool will help give a better indication of the problem, but I suspect glow plugs - as these don't just come on when it's cold, they come on each time the car is started and helps to keep the car running for the first few minutes (almost like a choke does on a petrol car).

Re: Help, Anti pollution fault.
I forgot to mention above - also check the Glow Plug Relay - as this could be at fault too.
