Do the injectors have a live power supply when the engine is cranking ?

Re: 2004 Citroen berlingo multispace 1.6 Petrol Misfire
hi, checked injector plug with multi meter and theirs 3.6v at all the plugs when ign is switched on
Re: 2004 Citroen berlingo multispace 1.6 Petrol Misfire
Pin 2 of each injector should have 12v, this may only be present when the engine is actually cranking over. The ECU then gives the injectors a pulsed earth to operate them. The live supply comes from the under bonnet fusebox via fuse 15. The wire leaves pin 16 of the 16 way black connector on the fusebox.

You need to interrogate it with Diagbox to see what it thinks it can see, what it thinks is wrong, or even if it is working at all - anything else is just poke and hope and likely to result in frustration and expense!

What voltages are you getting at fuse 15 & the wire coming out of pin 16 of the 16 way black connector on the fusebox ?
If you are still only getting 3.5v does it start if you supply the wire with 12v ?

Re: 2004 Citroen berlingo multispace 1.6 Petrol Misfire
at fuse 15 i get 3.43 same as at the injectors,i put 12v direct feed to fuse 15 and checked voltage at injector plug it went up to 8.5v or so and the petrol pump also stays on all the time the direct feed is on but sadley it still wont start, not 100% on what u mean about the 16 pin plug do i keep one end of meter on fuse and check that way or meter on negative on battery and check that way thanks
Re: 2004 Citroen berlingo multispace 1.6 Petrol Misfire
Keep neg lead on neg post & check voltage at pin 16, (i suspect it will be the same as at the fuse). Try feeding pin 16 with a direct 12v feed & see if it starts now.

Re: 2004 Citroen berlingo multispace 1.6 Petrol Misfire
hi yes it was the same and with direct feed still only 8.5 an injector plug and no start, ive scraped it now wheeler thanks for all the help mate, electrical problems so hard to find, thanks again, george
Re: 2004 Citroen berlingo multispace 1.6 Petrol Misfire
That's a shame you have scrapped this, there must be a high resistance in the wire that comes from pin 16 of the 16 way black to the injectors, if I was to have a guess I would say it would be at the splice where the wire splits into 4 to go to each injector.
