A mate over the road has asked if I can figure out what's wrong with the C2 By Loeb he's just bought. Central locking doesn't work, by key or fob, and the engine won't crank. Battery has been flat for ages in the past we're told.
Have had it on Lexia, and the central locking etc can be operated on there. Engine will crank with 12v direct to starter, but won't fire. Fuel pump appears to be priming.
Only odd things I can find so far is that the battery lamp flashes for about a minute after you've taken the key out, and on the Lexia system it doesn't recognise the ignition when switched to the cranking position. BSI, Instrument cluster and Airbag ECU all say they've got no connection with the main ECU, but everything seems to work when tested on Lexia.
I'm wondering if someone's spiked it when trying to jump start it or something, or whether the BSI has died. Any ideas?
Cheers
C2 Lexia fun!

What about the immobiliser - was it reinitialised after the flat battery? I would first ensure the battery is fully charged and then try the BSI reset procedure. If this was not undertaken previously when the battery went flat, it could of caused some niggles with ECUs not being shut down properly - here:

Thanks. Just tried the reset procedure, no change. Central locking doesn't work off the key or off the fob. Does work if you push the button on the dash.
Heard today that it might have had a different ABS unit fitted for some reason, so wondering if that's borking it.

Re: C2 Lexia fun!
Does this C2 have the flappy paddle controls for the gears - if so, the system needs to be reinitialised after a flat battery or battery change. Turn ignition on, and hold foot on the brake pedal for 30 seconds.
