C5 autobox fluid change method.

Post by milleplod »

I've Googled and searched on here, but not found anything specific. I'm going to change the autobox fluid using the '3 litres at a time' method. Is it as simple as opening a drain plug, which will release 3 litres, then topping up with the same amount via the level-check/dipstick tube? Or is it more complex than that...?! :?

It would be very helpful to know what model of C5 it is (what engine etc) so we can figure out what gearbox it is as they all have their own procedures ;)

On early C5 AL4 and 4HP20 were typically used depending engine. On late C5 some other gearboxes were used.
