Hello friends
Im looking for a part number for dipstick ( Oil measurement ).
I tried to look online but there are different info on few shop websites.
The Car is Citroen C5 2010 2.0 VTR HDI (Diesel) DW10CTED4
The reason that Im asking is that mine broke just when metal piece connects with plastic.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Dipstick part no
If you post up the VIN somebody with the ability to access Service Citroen could then do a look up, and get you the correct part number for your car.

According to Citroen Service, for that engine you are looking for is "1174 F0", "RP 1174 G9" "ENGINE OIL GAUGE"

Re: Dipstick part no
A tale of dipsticks.
My father had one of the very first Austin 2200's. Some of the first batch came out of the factory with the wrong dipstick, too long, so at the first service - 1000 miles in those days - some were seriously under filled and seized soon after. His was OK, but he did get a new dipstick at first service.
A simple bit of bendy metal, but the wrong one can do bad things. When you get your new one, check it against the old one!

Re: Dipstick part no
Read this week that, during the Nazi occupation of France, both Renault and Peugeot were obliged to provide new trucks for the occupiers, for use inside France and elsewhere. One of the tactics employed was to subtly sabotage the vehicles by placing the dipstick level notches too far down. Many vehicles seized and ground to a halt, including a good many on the push to Russia.
