Post by powerpk »

Dear all,

Before heading to citroen garage, just like to find out if there is quick way to fix. I did try to find in this forum but cant find similar problem. I have 2010 C5 that driver climate control knob is stuck at 21.5C. The other side is fine. Please see attached url for photo.

Have you tried pressing the driver's control knob in to switch the climate control to 'Auto' as I see this is not engaged. Does the driver's temperature adjust in this mode?
Failing that, It might be an idea to try a BSI reset and see if this will cure it: Make sure you observe the timings and DON'T open any doors or press any buttons during the 3 minutes in point 3.
  • Put the driver's window down, lift the bonnet and ensure all equipment is switched off.
  • Ensure all doors are closed and remove key from the ignition.
  • Wait for 3 minutes, disconnect the vehicle battery and wait at least a minute.
  • Reconnect the vehicle battery, wait a further minute (do not open doors).
  • Switch on the side lights through the driver's window.
  • Switch on the ignition and check system's functionality.
  • Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds.
  • Remove key open & close door test central locking system.
  • Start the engine and complete the system's check.
  • Failure to follow this procedure could result in incorrect operation of many BSI related items.
If this doesn't cure it, then I would find somebody near you with a Lexia, who could run a diagnostic on it for you. It may be a faulty control module - but best to get a diagnostic to be sure.

Hi Marc,

Many thanks for the reply. Just saw this message. I didn't know someone replied as I didn't receive an email. I have tried 'Auto' and still unable to set.

I will try BSI reset tonight. Which button is "Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds."? Is this 'central lock' lock/unlock button near the middle console?

Many thanks

Peter

Hi Peter, no the locking button on your remote control Fob - so in the bullet point where you turn the ignition only on - the hold the lock button the key remote in for about 10 seconds then let go, switch off ignition and carry on with the testing of the locking unlocking bit onward.

Regarding your email notifications, you will need to go into your 'User Control Panel' option when you click your username at the top right of the Forum, then from the 6 tabs displayed, choose the 'Board Preferences' tab, then from the left hand side, select the 'Edit Notifications' option and ensure your preferences are setup ok. Also ensure you are 'subscribed' to a topic by clicking the little spanner icon next to the topic title of this thread.
