big problem 2.2 hdi 2006

first hello all

my problem is I have a relay van 2006 and had from new , but last week I parked it up , and next morning I started it no problem ,but as I pulled away there was no power I could just about make 2000 revs but running like a bag of hammers theres no smoke or warning lights , had it hooked up to fault machine at local garage no codes , I am beat as checked all the hoses no breaks in these , the engine starts first time every time and sounds sweet , till I press the throttle it then gets like mis firing , also the turbo is spinning free , have any of you guys come across this before

I've had a similar issue to that described, but on a Citroen C5 - started no problem, but lack of power, spluttering, and made a really bad rasping sound. I had to floor it just to get home. It turned out after several hours at the garage to be a very small split in the Turbo hose and it was this that caused all the problems. Trouble was it was not obvious when they were looking for it. I thought it worth a mention as the noise and the power issue sound similar. Not having a dealer-level scan tool available could be an issue, but if it is a turbo hose leak the fault may not immediately show up.

hi guys ,just to let you know i have nailed the problem it was the actuator for the intercooler , the arm had come off and wedged the flap shut i could not see this as it has a little cover on , thus not letting air into the turbo , , , purring like a kitten again

Great, glad it was sorted, definitely sounded turbo related, you can relax and breath again now!
