Hi
I've just registered. I own a 20-year-old Citroen ZX Volcane 2.0i. I realise that this is now quite a rare beast. Anyone who wants to ask anything about I'd be happy to answer what I can (I've had it for some 17 years!).

My son had a diesel one briefly until the engine started spewing out water and oil. We did have a ZX estate for some years though and it proved very reliable although didn't go as well as the BX td. I have had CXs BXs about 6 or 7 XMs and lastly but disappointingly a C5, all diesels.

The XUD engine was brilliant, the best one being the 2.1, the early Hdi even better but I haven't run a petrol car for 30 years+

Anyway sorry to go on about diesels when you have a petrol.

The other 2 vehicles on your list look interesting too, Renault Juvaquatre, and Panhard 24CT.

All 3 perfectly acceptable candidates for posting up on this thread

Classic Car Spring/summer season 2016-What have you spotted but with ice scraping off the windscreen not far off maybe I should change the title

I ran a ZX for nearly three years, taking it to 95k+ miles. A slightly more leisurely model, though - see left.
Solid, great handling, well built, and often overlooked.

Replying to Newcastle Falcon about my other 2 listings... my interest in the Renault Juvaquatre stems from it being the first car I remember in my family. My father had one in the early '50's for 2 or 3 years. Somewhere I have a picture of my short-trousered self in front of it! A pretty little car and even then as rare as hen's teeth. It was an rhd 1939 model converted by Renault U.K. and badged as a Renault 8. I only ever saw one other like it.
The Panhard 24ct is pure pipe dream... in my eyes the epitome of French motoring quirkiness and elegance all rolled into one. I'd just love to lay hands on one!

One of my regular "go to" sites is www.classiccarcatalogue.com. Click on the home tab and it gives you a list of years from 1930 onwards and you can select a manufacturer and it gives info pics and brochures on their models for that year.

Here's one of the pics of the Juvaquatre from 1939

Um, no it's not me! Now I'll have to drag out these dusty old shoe boxes in the loft and try to find my old photo!
Our Renault was a very similar colour to Neil's illustrated ad... amazing how many manufacturers used to get away with 'stretching' their cars in publicity in those days!
And thanks Neil, I'll look up that website and wallow in some nostalgia.
