I bought a 607 recently and the check strap on the drivers door was not working correctly. Upon closer inspection it had ripped itself through the door
The top nut had gone missing and presumably with the stress concentrated around the bottom the metal gave up, i don't know if this is a common issue on the 607?
In general PSA checkstraps can go clattery. Generally speaking is there any way to repair them, without having to buy new ones?
This was the solution a bit of 2mm plate cut on the plasma cutter at work, it goes over the damaged area and clamps the checkstrap securely, (excuse the copper grease)
