I have had Lexia 3 V47 installed on a netbook for a couple of years, and it works fine for me on C4, C5 and Xantia. However the screen is a bit small and I now have the opportunity to put the software onto a bigger, easier to read, laptop. I have googled the installation process and think I can work through it again but have one basic question. Do I re-use the original activation code - which I noted down - or do I have to go through the code generation process again? And if I do that will the Lexia still work on the old netbook or does it operate on a one Lexia one computer basis, like good old Sky have with their Sky cards linked to one Skybox.
Don't want to find out the hard way.

Hi Peter. Each installation will need to be activated - but this shouldn't be an issue if you have your original installation software instructions and codes.

Re: Installing Lexia on second computer
As Marc said. I believe that the installation routines use the various electronic serial numbers within your PC (most likely the motherboard and CPU serial numbers) to generate a starting code, which would normally need an unlocking code from the suppliers. The keygen program produces the unlocking code.

Re: Installing Lexia on second computer
Ok, thanks for the replies. If I'm understanding right, I will have to go through the key gen process to activate the Lexia on the second computer. Does this mean that it will be reprogrammed and lose its activation with the old netbook? Has anybody actually been through this process? Perhaps it's like having two locks on the same door, with two keys - either will work........?

Re: Installing Lexia on second computer
It will not lose the functionality on either system. The keygen merely allows you to unlock the software on the system it is being installed upon.

Re: Installing Lexia on second computer
All done. Lexia now working on both computers. Second computer generates completely different activation key, but no effect on ability to use first computer.
Many thanks.

There is a good installation guide on YouTube, the quick ones that go at about 50 mph I cant follow but there is one by a Geordie gentleman that lasts about 25 minutes and covers one step at a time, I successfully used it so I'm sure anyone else on here can.
