Hi,
I have two blank keys for my Xsara and when I took them to get cut last week one place said the 4 sided keys are high risk and not many cut them, has anyone had any joy getting a SX9 blank cut?
Thanks

Timpsons generally seem to take on 4 sided keys. The bigger ones have a machine that does it in one go. The smaller ones only cut 2 sides at a time and have to turn it 90deg then do the other 2. It's not that hard if you can line up two lines so a decent technician should be able to do you one regardless of the machine.

Yes but only using the key code. I believe that some places will cut from the original and even photographs.
What do you want to then use this key for? If you want to use it for starting the car then you have to use a key with the correct chip in it. It has to be brand new chip - you can't reprogram them a second time.

H Guys,
The remote key I currently have is for a 2003 Xsara, I don't think the key works or the BSi for the central locking doesn't. I will take the chip out tomorrow and see if the car starts, I am sure it does as tried this a few months ago.
The two blanks I have are for the new remote central locking I have fitted so I was hoping to get these cut too.

These are two different things. The central locking buttons and components are NOT the same as the chip that allows the car to start.chigurhm wrote:... I don't think the key works or the BSi for the central locking doesn't. ...
