Citroen c5 2010 Front Trailing Arm
Hello, does anyone know how difficult it is to replace front trailing arm rear bush on C5 2010.I have replaced anti roll bar link rods as there was a knocking noise coming from the front end when braking in slow traffic or when on uneven road, when you look at front wheel whilst someone else is braking you can see the wheel jerking and a knocking noise coming from what looks like the trailing arm bush.Any ideas anyone
many thanks for reading Adie Brown.

Check it's not the swivel joint first - these fail for fun!
The front suspension on these is quite complex, so getting the arm out might not be as easy as it might otherwise. Some info on the swivel joint (and parts diag) in this thread http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... hp?t=50744

You have to check theses joints with the wheel on the ground/loaded, I used a pry bar and what seemed a little "knock" was due to that bearing having completely killed itself.
I have to agree with Richard , check that joint first as I can see that being the problem you have, if the pins are also worn then I can imagine it would cause a similar looking "wobble".
(This joint should be a 30,000mile service item needing replacement each time)

Re: Citroen c5 2010 Front Trailing Arm
Just to let you know, had the car in at the local garage this morning as was unable to locate which joint it was and after looking at it on a ramp it turned out to be the lower swinging arm rear bush that had completely collapsed. This allowing the swing arm to knock when braking and driving down bumpy roads, hope this is of some help to others.
